5 Suggestions to Export Solid Meetings’ Content with Zapier

Since September, you can export Solid’s meeting content to a large range of tools thanks to Zapier. There are so many options, that we think a few suggestions are in order to get you inspired.

Before anything, remember that to better manage your meetings and make it a habit, it’s important that you find a solution that fits into your existing work environment. The first thing you should consider is connecting Solid with the apps you already use. That being said, here are a few of the most popular Zaps chosen by Solid users.

We’ve got some pre-made Zaps for easy access and linked them in the description whenever they were available.

Google Drive

Automatically save your meeting summaries to Google Docs. Use this Zap

Since many users connect to Solid with their Google Apps account, it’s only logical that they’d want to tie in Solid and Google even more. The exports that many have chosen automatically saves a new file to Google Drive containing all the content added on Solid when the meeting ends.

Tip: You could also link Dropbox, Box to the same effect. Office 365 users should have a look at the Zap with OneNote.

Trello

Save all action items to a Trello board. Use this Zap

Keep a view on all project’s tasks throughout your team by exporting them all to a shared Trello board. This is particularly useful for project managers, in order to get a global view of who’s working on what. It’s also useful to pair it up with deadlines. This shared Trello board can even become where all team members keep track of their own tasks.

Others may prefer to stay on Solid and use the ‘Action Items’ view to manage their own tasks. Alternatively, we’ve seen quite a few users connect Zapier to send their action items to a task management platform. Such as…

Wunderlist

Manage your own task in a wunderful app. Use this Zap

There are many task management tools out there, but Wunderlist is one of the simpler ones. Simple yes, but effective too! It will take you about a few minutes to start creating lists and managing your tasks with the range of apps Wunderlist offers (if you’re often on the go, that’s for you!).

Projectmanager.com

Manage your action items, visualize them in Gantt charts and more

ProjectManager.com is an online project management platform that contains tools such as Gantt Charts, time sheets, and resource and task tracking dashboards. ProjectManager.com specifically caters to remote teams thanks to its online nature and mobile apps that are designed for projects that require field work.

Asana

Keep a global view on your project AND share meeting summaries automatically.

We don’t have to introduce Asana anymore. Surely you know about this juggernaut among SaaS platforms. The newly re-designed project management platform is a great fit for Solid’s exports. We’re mentioning it last because it fits all three uses mentioned above. Let’s review them for clarity:

  • Export action items assigned to you. Use this zap
  • Export all action items created within a same project.
  • Export all meeting summaries to a project.

Tip: You can set up any or all of those to get your content out of Solid. The goal is again to make information more readily available throughout your team.

For more information about available exports or create new ones, go to Solid’s page on Zapier.

If you have other apps to suggests for our users, please do so in the comments, we’ll be glad to mention them in our next articles.
